        Areas of Research / Interest

        • Distributed systems, focusing on IIoT applications in the extended domain of Civil Engineering;
        • Fault-tolerant measurement systems aimed at applications in the broad field of Civil Engineering;
        • Sensor Self-validation in Structure Health Monitoring (SHM) applications;
        • Assessment of measurement uncertainties in complex systems;
        • Automatic systems aimed at reducing the need for human intervention in current laboratory tests;
        • Automatic SHM data acquisition and processing systems.

        Research and Professional Activity

        • R&D of measuring  instruments, testing equipment, data acquisition networks and other  systems aimed at applications in Civil Engineering;
        • Development of SHM data acquisition and processing software;
        • R&D  and technological consultancy relating to Scientific Instrumentation  systems for Civil Engineering in the areas of transduction, actuation,  control and data acquisition;
        • Collaboration in the  specification, selection, and corrective maintenance of the Scientific  Instrumentation of the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering.
