        DEVELOPED ACTIVITY 

        Monitoring the construction activities of the three dams of the Tâmega Electric Production System (Daivões, Gouvães and Alto Tâmega)

        Dam safety control with manual measurement and automated data acquisition systems, including participation in more than 40 inspections, carried out in accordance with the Dam Safety Regulations

        Development and implementation of new functionalities in gestBarragens (project co-financed by the PRIME program), a computerised information management system that allows support for all safety control activities of concrete dams in Portugal. The gestBarragens system is the result of a close collaboration between three Portuguese institutions: LNEC, INESC-ID and EDP Energias de Portugal

        Collaboration in the Timbus project, co-financed by the European Commission under the 7th framework program and in the E-RIHS project, funded by HORIZON 2020

        Support the Cape Verde National Water and Sanitation Agency in dam safety activities

        Responsible for the pilot project for the Implementation of the Integrated Dam Safety Management System in the Matala dam, Angola

        Participation as a co-opted member of the Dam Surveillance Technical Committee of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD)

        Development of scientific and technical communications, articles and books; editor of a scientific journal, review of scientific papers and participation as a jury in academic tests to obtain Master's and Doctor's degrees
