        MAIN AREAS OF RESEARCH / INTEREST

        Electrical resistivity method applied to geotechnical and environmental issues;

        Testing of piles by both the methods of sonic echo and cross-hole sonic logging;

        Measurement of rock blast vibration induced to buildings;

        Seismic refraction method applied to geotechnical engineering;

        Cross-hole seismic tomography applied to site surveys and to the assessment of the rock mass treatment of dam foundations;

        Ground-penetrating radar applied on heritage buildings and on building reinforcement iron cage assessment.
