PhD in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of the Technical University of Lisbon (UTL), with the thesis “Self-Compacting Concrete. Rheology of concrete in the fresh state”, in December 2008.
Master in Construction, from the 7th Master's in Construction course at IST, with the thesis work, in the area of special concrete, entitled “Concrete with Light Aggregates. Durability and Microstructure”, in December 2000.
Degree in Civil Engineering from the IST, from the 1988-1993 course, having completed it in the Construction branch, in 1993.
Technical-Professional Course in Civil Construction Design, at Escola Secundária Jácome Ratton, in Tomar, lasting 3 years, completed in 1988.
